Quick answers

How long does it take to get my business song?
The video is ready about seven days after you okay the song. Before that, we email you within about a day of your order, and the song itself waits on your okay.
Do I have to pay when I order?
No. Sending the form costs nothing. You don't pay until you've seen the result, and if you don't want it, you owe nothing.
What if I don't like something?
Two rounds of changes are included. You also hear the song and okay every word before the video is made, so most changes happen early.

Ordering something custom is nerve-racking when you don't know what comes next. Will somebody call you at dinner? Do you need to write anything? When do you pay, and what if you hate it?

Whether you order from us or anyone else, it helps to know the steps before you start. Here is exactly how ours works, from the form to the finished video, and what you'll need to do at each step.

Step 1: You send the form

On the order form you give us four things:

That's it. There's nothing to pay at this point, and you don't need to write anything or have ideas ready. If you'd rather talk to a person, you can ask us to call you or phone (650) 402-7843, Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm Central.

What you can do now: have a think about the one thing you'd most like people to know about your business, and which style of music your customers listen to. Country, classic rock, bluegrass, folk, gospel, blues, rockabilly, polka, pop, doo-wop and 80s are all on the table. You don't have to decide yet, but it helps.

Step 2: We email what we'd sing about

Within about a day, we email you what we'd sing about: the main idea for your song, based on your business. Along with it come one or two quick questions, like how you want your phone number said, or what your customers thank you for most. Sometimes we call instead, if that's easier.

What you need to do: answer the questions. A few lines in a reply is plenty. If something in our idea isn't right, like a service you don't offer or a town you don't serve, this is the easiest moment to say so.

Step 3: You hear the song and okay every word

Next, you hear the song. Not a description of it, the actual song, with your name and number in it.

You read the words and listen. You okay every word before any video is made. If a line isn't right, tell us. Maybe a word is hard to catch, maybe you'd say it differently, maybe a detail is off. Two rounds of changes are included, so this is the time to use them.

What you need to do: listen a few times, play it for someone you trust, and either okay it or tell us what to change. Nobody has to sing or be on camera, now or ever.

Step 4: The seven days

Once you okay the song, the video is ready about seven days later. That's the stretch the title of this post is about.

During that week, you don't need to do anything. You won't be asked to film, record, write or attend meetings. If you want to, it's a good time to plan where the video will go first: pinned to the top of your Facebook page, on your website, on hold, on local radio or at your next event.

When it's ready, we send it to you to watch. If something in the video needs fixing, that's covered by the two rounds of changes included in every package.

Step 5: You see it, then you decide

This is the part worth knowing up front. You don't pay until you've seen the result. If you like it, you pay the fixed price for your package, once, plus sales tax where it applies. There's no monthly fee:

If you don't want it, you owe nothing. No awkward conversation, no cancellation fee, no small print to dig through.

A note on timing. If you need the video for a certain date, like a grand opening, an annual meeting or the first week of the county fair, tell us when you send the form. Since the clock starts when you okay the song, the sooner you answer our questions and listen to the song, the sooner the video is ready.

Once it's yours, use it everywhere, for as long as you like: Facebook, Instagram, your website, ads, local TV, radio, on-hold music and events. Every song is written new for your business, so it won't sound like anyone else's.
